RAISE THE ROOT and THE LOCAL LARDER proudly present EAT WELL COOKING SCHOOL at PORT KITCHENS, culinary courses for real people. Each month we will offer a variety of cooking classes and workshops hosted by professional chefs, expert food enthusiasts, and local culinary artisans.
Located on the third floor of the Port Workspaces Kaiser Mall, our newly renovated teaching kitchen studio features both a fully equipped indoor classroom and an outdoor terrace classroom with grill and tiki bar.
Raise the Root offers a variety of extraordinary hands-on cooking classes. Join us to learn a new technique, how to throw an amazing party or to just have a unique night out doing something delicious and fun. We provide the food, the music, and the equipment, all you need to do is show up and enjoy!
All of our cooking classes are designed to accommodate a wide range of skill levels, from beginners to the advanced cook. We get everyone involved in creating exciting, delectable dishes. All prices include cooking instruction from our community of chefs and digital copies of the recipes. After the class you will sit down to enjoy the delicious creations you've made with your new found cooking comrades!
Cooking classes are limited in size to allow for a hands-on experience
Skills Classes are 2 Hours, Classic Classes are 3 hours, Workshops are 4 hours unless stated otherwise
Each class starts with an introduction to the class in our lounge, along with a snack
Each class ends with a communal meal
Our classes tend to fill up fast, so if a class you would like to take is full, please email us and we'll put you on our waiting list.
